Poor Old Dottie; This Hurts, But It Might Be The Day

I have not written about his because it has just been too painful. I have to write about it this morning though. We will have to bring my Dalmatian, Dottie, to the vet. She is just not doing well. The poor old girl just has a plethora of problems and I am afraid they have all caught up to her. This might be her last day. I will let the vet look at her and we might have to make the decision to put her down. I am not going to let her suffer or let her live a life that is too degraded from what she can normally live. I love her and I am not going to let her suffer.

Dottie has never been able to hear. She’s got diabetes and has lost a lot of her eyesight. She was doing good until a few days ago. I just think she is going down pretty fast. She has been drinking plenty of water. She just does not want to eat well. I think her kidneys are failing. So it does not look good for the old girl. She is 12. We have been taking very good care of her. If it’s her time then we are going to do what is right and let her go.

This is tough. Dottie was our first dog baby. She has been a wonderful animal over the years. It is so hard to let them go. I have gotten so attached and love her so much. I will not let her suffer though.

So, it’s time to go. I have to to and check on the old girl. Pray for her if you don’t mind. She might need to go to doggie heaven soon. More later!!
